The Calm Connections Project
Bringing animal-assisted wellbeing to those who need it most
The Calm Connections Project is our dedicated community wellbeing programme. Our vision is to provide free or subsidised animal-assisted sessions for children, young people, and adults struggling with mental health, anxiety, isolation, grief, SEND-related challenges, or emotional wellbeing who may otherwise be unable to access support.
Who we support
Priority is given to:
- Low-income families
- Children awaiting support
- Isolated individuals
- SEND/neurodivergent individuals
- Those experiencing mental health lows, grief, loss, or severe anxiety
How to refer
We accept referrals from schools, SENCOs, pastoral teams, social workers, parents, GPs, social prescribers, and charities. Self-referrals are also welcome.
